Speech delivered by Dr. Ing. Kenneth Ashigbey, ceo of Ghana chamber of telecommunications at the 2023 fibre to the home and ipv6 workshop, at the villa Monticello boutique hotel located at no 1a Mankata avenue link airport residential Accra on Thursday, O

Ladies and gentlemen, It is with great pleasure that I stand before you today, to open the curtains on the “2023 Fibre to the Home and IPV6 Workshop”.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Ghana’s journey in digital transformation has been remarkable, given the strides we have made towards creating a digital economy. We find ourselves at a pivotal moment in history, where 1,350+ rural communities are being provided with broadband access through the Government of Ghana’s Rural Telephony and Digital Inclusion Project. We also find ourselves in an era where major telecommunication companies are heavily investing in the Fibre-to-the Home (FTTH) technology as part of concentrated efforts to provide improved broadband access to all Ghanaians.  I believe it is for this same purpose that we are gathered here today.
