Telcos experience More Cable Cuts

Telecommunication companies in Ghana last year (2013) experienced a depressing 30 percent increase in cable cuts. Two thousand one hundred and ten (2110) cable cuts were recorded last year compared to 1,605 in 2012 and 480 in 2011.

Great strides have been made in telecommunications in Ghana over the past decade and half with mobile phone subscriptions having grown from a few thousands in the mid-nineties to 26 million today.  Despite the progress, questions and complaints about telecoms services are common.
