Huawei in Ghana
In Ghana, Huawei registered its subsidiary in 2005. Since then we have established excellent cooperation with the government of Ghana, all the telecom operators, businesses and organizations as well as consumers.
The total number of employees is 900+, with local employees accounting for 80% and 150+ technical engineers for on-site support service and project implementation. Huawei is currently cooperating with over 50 Ghanaian local sub-contractors to implement most of its projects for the government of Ghana and the network operators. Our commercial activities in Ghana provide indirect employment to over 5000 people in related industries.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Huawei is supporting the country where we operate by contributing to the local welfare, health, and education needs of communities. In Ghana we have donated four ICT laboratories to four Ghanaian Public Universities. We have also donated to 37 Military Hospital and Korle-Bu Children’s wards, completed renovation of Prampram Health Centre, donation to support the Presidential Christmas Encounter, donation to saving Mama Charity Ball and construction of ventilated improved toilets for Ngleshie Amamfrom Community, etc.

So far 60 Ghanaian students have benefitted from this initiative.
